Summer is coming – finally!? A sure sign that summer is coming is that the farmers market is back! One of my favorite places to go on a Saturday is this place. Sometimes I go by myself so I can stroll at my own pace (instead of that of a two year old) and fill my arms with bags of fresh produce. Other times, I take Willy for the sheer enjoyment of watching him explore corals of colorful veggies filling the crates that line the street. His curiosity reminds me to stop and look too. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life that we forget to stop and look. Look at the amazement of what we have around us. The color of those peppers! How many times have we looked at our list of what we need, see it, pick it up and throw it in our cart and that’s it. It’s just another thing, another item checked off our list – on to the next. But then, you look at a bushel of peppers with a two year old and you see the excitement in his face as he jumps up and down pointing at the peppers.
